La Roux – In for the kill

Uhh, what an out-of-this-world sound !

Here’s “In for the kill”, La Roux’s probably most popular track, hitting so far over 3 million views on YouTube. If there’s something that sticks to mind about London-based electropop duo La Roux, it’s lead singer’s Elly Jackson double trademark – the distinctive voice  intensified by the retro, synthesized sound + the androgynous, pretty “Martian” looks highlighted by her cool styling. Creating a  strongly individualized brand, a sort of hip revival of the eighties. La Roux (= the red-haired) would be I think the perfect celeb image of Thierry Mugler’s “Alien” perfume.

So energetic…this is my morning tune !
